If your credit card deposit was declined on Evest, the platform explains that this usually happens for one of the following reasons. Here is what you can do in each case:
1. 3D Secure verification issue
- Reason: Evest and the card-issuing bank apply strict security standards. If the temporary verification code (OTP) sent to your phone is entered incorrectly or expires, the transaction will be declined immediately.
- Solution: Try again and make sure you enter the code correctly as soon as you receive it.
2. Daily or monthly transaction limits
- Reason: Some banks set limits on the amount that can be spent online or internationally within one day or one month.
- Solution: Contact your bank directly and ask them to increase the online purchase limit or international payment limit on your card to match the deposit amount.
3. Insufficient funds
- Reason: The available balance on your card may be lower than the amount you want to deposit. Currency conversion fees may also cause the transaction amount to exceed your available balance if your card account is in a currency other than USD.
- Solution: Check your available balance carefully, taking currency conversion differences into account, or try depositing a lower amount.
4. Card not enabled for online purchases
- Reason: The deposit may be declined if your card is not enabled for online payments or purchases, even if the available balance is sufficient.
- Solution: Contact the card-issuing bank and ask them to activate online purchases, then try making the deposit again after confirming activation.
What should you do now, according to Evest?
Check your card details: Re-enter the card number, expiry date, and CVV code carefully.
- Use an alternative payment method: If the card continues to be declined by the bank, Evest allows you to use other available deposit methods in your account, such as e-wallets or direct bank transfers.
- Contact support: If you are sure that your card and balance are valid, contact Evest support and share the error message you see so the finance department can check the decline from the platform’s payment provider side.
